Z Arm Mixing
Z
arm mixers have many and varied uses, and Laska are probably, the largest
manufacturer of this type of machine. Models start at 130 Litres bowl capacity,
and are offered with 250 litres,500litres, and 1000 litres in tiltable bowl
format, and greater sizes in static end discharge design. The advantages
of Z- Arm mixing over other formats are as follows- quicker inclusion of
particulates into emulsions, greater kneading action than paddles or ribbons,
and easier discharge of heavy or sticky emulsions, particularly with the
tiltable bowl design. Z Arm mixers are used extensively by emulsion manufacturers,
for blending and folding in particulates, prior to filling, and the Kebab
Industry, where the Z arm design has proven to be by far the most effective
way of creating the special emulsion dough required. As with other mixers,
various optional extras can be incorporated in to the machines. These include
Vacuum facility, for de-aeration of mixes, for better slicing, and texture,
water addition, CO2 or LN2 for cooling, and conversely double jacket design
for cooking , as well as direct steam injection. Programmers can be fitted
as neede for greater production control, and machines can be fed by lift
and tip device for standard bins, conveyors or other specialist lifting
systems as required.
